Hello and welcome to my blog!

I would like this blog to be seen as an online portfolio of my capabilities and interests, a sort of CV if you like in order to help me pursue the career I would like.

Background:

Growing up in London I wanted to take a break from the capital and live a little further away from home so I studied at Nottingham Trent University, taking a 2:1 in BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Communication.

In my final year, winning the People's Choice in the L'Oreal National Brandstorm Marketing Competition in 2008 gave me the opportunity to work at L'Oreal, although it is a beauty giant and not a fashion one, was still a good opportunity to take up. With that and cutting a long story short I have been working as Marketing Assistant for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, UK for the past two and a half years (nearly).

Fashion, music and performance are my first loves which is why I started this blog, to encourage me to keep myself and others informed of new fashion and music discoveries; as well as showcase my presenting and writing capabilities. 

In 2012 I would like to do more presenting and writing in the hope that they will become my full-time career, to leave the day job and start presenting for a fashion or music magazine online or on TV, and improve my DJ-ing skills! These are the goals, for as they say "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams".
